Bee Removal

At Bird & Bee Removal, we are committed to the proper and safe removal of the feral bee colonies that are in close proximity to our homes, places of business, facilities and schools.

Just like one would call a specialized technician in an emergency, one should also call a pest control professional, especially one that specializes in removing bees, when one sees bees flying in and out of a hole on the outside of a building.

Please note that we do not give estimates over the phone. In order for us to give an accurate estimate on the cost for removing a bee hive we need to consider many elements such as, how long the bees have been at the location, how high is the hive, are they on a tree or a building, accessibility and building materials are just some of these variables, etc. Please click here for additional information on how we price our bee removals.

Over 2 million Americans have severe allergies to bee stings, causing about 50 deaths a year from allergic reactions. While bee colonies can be very dangerous if they are in close proximity to people, honey bees are still a necessary component to a sustainable agriculture. In fact, one-third of our daily diet comes from crops pollinated by honey bees. Without the pollen that honey bees transport, many plants can’t produce fruits, vegetables and seeds.

As African Honey Bees (AHB) continue to move throughout the state of Florida, there is an increasing need for property owners to locate and contract reliable, knowledgeable, and properly trained pest control operators. Trained professionals who remove bee colonies and hives with proper equipment and appropriate procedures are essential to providing safe areas for work and play. By assuring the bees are properly eliminated, neighbors, bystanders, and animals are less likely to get attacked and stung.

Bees typically only need an opening as small as an 1/8” in order to begin building a colony. If undetected, the bees can cause harm to your family and/or neighbors. It is also important to keep in mind that while there are only certain places honey bees will build their colonies, African Honey Bees (AHB) are much less picky and need less space.
